Tactical does not win by having the largest single button. It wins by overlapping zones so you never face a full pack alone. Ideal loop:

3. Fight with your main weapon while gadgets tax anything that walks in
4. Use Hi-Fiver or Tether Wail when a lane needs active pressure

Slots: Shot Pot, Bombloons, Hi-Fiver. Place Bombloons at spawn mouths and link them for fatter explosions. Pop one at your feet as emergency peel. This kit carries difficult raids where raw Power diving feels reckless.

Tether lane denial

Slots: Tether Wail, Shot Pot, Bombloons. Hold the tether to thicken damage while Shot Pot handles side trash. Best on long corridors. Break tether early if you must dodge—greed extends kill time but extends vulnerability.

Torqscrew objective guard

Slots: Torqscrew, Shot Pot, Hi-Fiver. Plant the vortex on floors or walls near crystals and escort points. Torqscrew is less about DPS charts and more about “get off my objective.” Perfect for co-op when teammates greed damage.

Endgame Ultra Tactical ideas

Community favorites often center Shot Pot + Bombloons as the non-negotiable pair, then flex the third slot:

• Hi-Fiver for active lane painting
• Tether Wail for single-lane melt
• Torqscrew for objective lock

Some endgame write-ups borrow Meteor Mitt or Splatellites into a flex slot after tank progression expands mixing rules. Remember those gadgets originate in the Power pool—learn pure Tactical first so you know what each slot is paying for.

• Treating Shot Pot as optional flavor instead of first placement
• Dropping all Bombloons in one pile with no link plan
• Standing inside your own Torqscrew fling path at the wrong time

Spend a session where you are not allowed to fire your main until Shot Pot is placed. Spend another session linking Bombloons only—no random singles.
