Loot is the language of Splatoon Raiders. Dungeons speak in Spirhalite Shards, Salmonid parts, Relic powers, Briny Scrolls, outfit rewards, and the occasional amiibo splash. If you treat every chest as equal, the Hideout Ship construction menu will eventually ask for a material you never targeted.

Currency and craft fuel
Spirhalite Shards are the everyday fuel—weapon levels, many crafts, and ship fees. Spirhalite Gems are the rarer construction catalysts. Salmonid materials (buckets, tires, jaws, masks, and dozens of boss-tagged parts) gate specific gadgets and ship bills. You keep secured salvage even after failed raids, which encourages brave attempts—but not mindless ones.
When broke, queue Shard Mining. When a craft lists a boss part, fight that Boss Salmonid on purpose instead of hoping Treasure Hunt RNG smiles.
Power items: Relics
Salmonid Relics hide across the islands and especially in relic-focused ruins. They grant combat powers and build identity on top of your tank and gadgets. The Relic you receive often cares which tank you cleared with, so plan builds before the run. Equip and review them through Big Man’s Hoard rather than leaving powers parked unused.
Collection items: scrolls, compasses, outfits
Briny Scrolls are collectible reads that reward exploration and crate literacy—watch for orange crate patterns while you farm. The dedicated Briny Scrolls page lists island clusters, Hoard registration tips, and how scroll progress ties into certain ending checks. Old Compasses unlock Sampler Dungeons for Skill Tomes. Outfits drop from challenges and style goals; they are mostly flex, but completionists should track them beside scrolls in the Hoard.

Before you dump shards into a novelty weapon:
- Check Ship Construction for an upcoming gem/shard gate.
- Check Shiver’s next gadget cost against your materials stock.
- Check whether a Relic power would help more than another +damage pip.
- Check the raid checklist so you actually equip what you crafted.
Fashion outfits can wait. A tank that survives Scayl Buried Ruins cannot.
Co-op loot notes
Online and local wireless runs still feed the same item families. Communicate needs: one player missing Salty Tongue’s Buckets should not silently host a gem search all night. Call for Help rewards exist for helpers—nice shard snacks—but they will not replace a dedicated materials route.
