The ultimate challenge mode is Bottomless Buffet: a Survivalist-locked gauntlet with no Call for Help, three floors per run starting near Level 50 Salmonids, and a narrative capstone at Floor 100 against Lord Saltimatum. Unlock checklist: nine relics, three islands, three tanks

Bottomless Buffet stays locked until you finish every Hidden Ruins dungeon once per tank archetype:

That is three ruins × three tanks = nine relics total. Each clear awards a Salmonid Relic tied to the tank you brought—Power, Speed, or Tactical identity matters, just like earlier relic ruins in the Walkthrough and Relics pages.

Practical sweep order

1. Good Ending recommended first — Post-credits hints and morale boost after Salmonarch (How to Unlock Endings).
2. Fischflak on Atke (~Lv42) — Start when your mid-post-game Builds come online.
3. Smoksam on Kinp (~Lv44) — Expect denser Seasoned mixes; upgrade weapons via How to Upgrade Weapons.
4. Myunyere on Suma (~Lv46) — Hardest ruin trio member; use Tier List picks and the Raid Checklist so no tank slot is under-leveled.

Track completions on paper or the checklist—forgetting one Tactical clear on Myunyere is the most common unlock bug players inflict on themselves.

Entering Bottomless Buffet

Once the ninth relic registers, the Hideout Ship exposes Bottomless Buffet entry. Rules differ from normal raids:

• Survivalist only — Tourist and Raider cannot enter. Difficulty still follows the global rule: loot tables do not change with difficulty outside this mode’s lock, but here the mode itself demands Survivalist. Train on Survivalist story dens first (Difficulty Guide).
• No Call for Help — You must sustain three-floor pushes solo or with co-op partners who also meet Survivalist requirements (How to Play Co-op).
• Three floors at a time — Each sortie advances a chunk of the tower; wipe and you retry the chunk with learned patterns.
• Starting threat ~Lv50 Salmonids — Gear checks bite immediately; farm Briny Scrolls and Spirhalite until gadgets feel crisp (How to Farm Spirhalite).

Online play requires Ver 1.1.0 (July 22, 2026) or later—the patch that adjusted music, fixed bugs, and standardized online compatibility. All local or LAN players must match versions (Patch Notes).

Floor milestones and cosmetics

Climbing rewards punctuated prizes:

• Floor 30 — Golden Flash outfit pieces.
• Floor 60 — Golden Fever outfit pieces.
• Floor 100 — Golden Forever outfit pieces plus the Lord Saltimatum encounter and secret ending cutscene.

Floor 100: Lord Saltimatum and Endless Search

Floor 100 spawns Lord Saltimatum, the secret finale boss. Defeating him triggers the secret ending narrative beat distinct from Salmonarch’s Good/Bad fork. Rewards include Endless Search / Legendary Loot–style relic quality— notably Endless Search Relic (Power), which helps surface undiscovered gadget parts during regular Spirhalite raids. Slot relics through Big Man’s systems and retest on the ship range.

Important: Bottomless Buffet continues after Floor 100 if you choose to keep climbing. The secret ending fires at 100; higher floors are optional endurance for bragging rights and further drops.

Build philosophy for three-floor pushes

Because you cannot Call for Help, kits need self-sufficient peel, burst, and sustain across consecutive floors.

Power Tank

Bring shield breaks and swarm deletion. You will face armored Lesser walls that steal floor time. Pair with Bond-upgraded Showstoppers that create egg-style breathing room—even though Buffet floors do not use Power Egg quotas, the same crowd-control timing applies.

Speed Tank

Mobility preserves ink economy. Blast Boot or Dash Bomb rotations keep you alive when Level 50+ Seasoned packs chain jumps. Speed relics from Smoksam clears synergize here.

Tactical Tank

Deployables anchor lanes while you heal through swim lines. Tactical relics from Myunyere often define late Buffet consistency.

Rotate tanks between runs if a floor band counters your main—unlike Hidden Ruins, Buffet allows your best upgraded archetype once unlocked.

Resource loops between attempts

Failed three-floor bands still keep weapons and salvage—same raid philosophy as the campaign. Use failures to fund:

• Gadget parts via Treasure Hunts and How to Use Gadgets targets.
• Weapon ranks at Frye’s stash.
• Spirhalite Shards on comfortable Tourist/Raider farms (loot parity applies—farm smart, not hard).

Endless Search Relic (Power) eventually reduces grind by highlighting missing gadget components; prioritize reaching Floor 100 if part RNG stalls your Survivalist kit.

Co-op Buffet etiquette

Groups must agree on Survivalist readiness and version parity. Assign floor roles: opener clears spawn door, mid handles Seasoned elites, closer saves specials for boss telegraphs on boss floors. Without Call for Help, voice or ping discipline matters more than raw DPS.

Relationship to main endings

Salmonarch’s Good Ending (enough Power Eggs in the Throne Room) and Bad Ending (failed egg collection) resolve the campaign. Bottomless Buffet’s secret ending is additive—it does not replace Good/Bad text, and you can reach Buffet after either campaign ending once Hidden Ruins are done.
