Splatoon Raiders Relics Guide
Salmonid treasures that reshape how your Speed, Power, or Tactical tank plays.
Relics are the build spices of Splatoon Raiders. Weapons and gadgets do the obvious work; Relic powers quietly change how aggressively you can hold a crystal, how forgiving a mistake is, or how hard a Showstopper window hits. Players who ignore Relics often blame weapons when the real gap is an empty power slot.
This page covers how Relics drop, why tank choice matters, and how to fold them into everyday raids. Start from the Items Hub if you still need the wider loot vocabulary.
What Relics are
Officially framed as Salmonid treasures with strange hidden powers, Relics are equippable combat modifiers tied into your tank fantasy. You discover them across the Spirhalite Islands, with relic-focused ruins as the intentional farm. Big Man’s Hoard is the catalog—visit it after runs so you notice new powers instead of leaving them in the backlog.
Relics are not outfits. If a drip is all you want, see collectibles. If a clear is what you want, keep reading.
Tank-linked rewards
Many relic dungeon rewards care which tank you bring. Clear a ruins stage on Power if you want Power-leaning powers; do not expect the game to hand you a Tactical identity for free after a Speed speedrun. Before launch, set the tank you are actually investing Skill Tomes into.
That rule makes Relics a planning item, not a pure RNG item. Your builds page should name the tank first, gadgets second, Relic third.
Where to farm Relics
- Prioritize Buried Ruins / relic-tagged dungeon icons on the map.
- Bring a kit that can survive the ruins’ boss patterns—relic rooms are not pure sightseeing.
- Use a difficulty that protects execution; loot identity stays usable on Tourist if Survivalist is too spicy.
- After the clear, return to the Hideout Ship, equip the power, and test on the range.
If you are undergeared, spend a session on materials and Shard Mining before forcing relic spires. A dead run earns zero philosophy.
Equipping and theorycrafting
Slot Relics with your active tank and reconsider them whenever you change roles. A relic that helps Shot Pot turrets may feel wasted on a Blast Boot dive kit. Likewise, a greedy damage relic can be wrong for Blansh Seaway crystal defense if you need survivability to finish the objective.
Create mental presets:
- Story progression nights → safer relics that stabilize HP and control
- Farm nights → relics that speed clears or improve loot uptime
- Boss hunt nights → relics that amplify burst windows beside Showstoppers
Write the choice into the raid checklist so co-op teammates know your plan.
Synergy with gadgets and Bot Buddy
Relics shine when they reinforce an already coherent L/R pair. Power Tank shield breaks plus a relic that rewards close pressure is a story. Mixing a long-range Tactical turret plan with a relic that wants you in melee is how players invent fake balance problems.
Bot Buddy hops create aiming windows—some relics reward disciplined midair uptime, others reward grounded objective sitting. Practice the combo on the Hideout Ship range after every new equip.
Early campaign expectations
Through Pantree Beach and the first Erpp trio (Piel Coast, Blansh Seaway, Scayl Buried Ruins), you may only see the beginning of the relic fantasy. That is fine. Learn dungeon verbs first via the dungeons guide. When relic icons multiply later, you will already know how to defend an objective while chasing a chest spur.
Do not postpone ship upgrades forever while hunting perfect relics. Facilities and tank HP make relic farms easier; the reverse is only partly true.
Completionist tips
Track missing powers in the Hoard. Note which tank each gap wants. Batch your farms so a Power evening stays Power, instead of swapping presets every single queue and confusing drop intent. If a ruins stage also contains crates, grab compasses and scrolls while you are there—but never at the cost of the boss objective.
Common mistakes
- Clearing relic ruins on the “wrong” tank for your goal
- Never equipping a newly earned power
- Stacking greed relics before you can survive Seasoned packs
- Ignoring controls comfort so you whiff the windows a relic creates
Fix those four and Relics start feeling like the series’ new gear layer instead of mysterious inventory clutter.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Do Relics change based on my tank?
Often yes for ruins rewards. Bring the Speed, Power, or Tactical tank that matches the power identity you want before you clear the stage.
Where do I equip Relics?
Manage them through your tank/loadout flow and track ownership in Big Man’s Hoard on the Hideout Ship. Always equip after a new drop—ownership alone does nothing.
Should beginners farm Relics immediately?
Learn early story dungeons and fund basic ship upgrades first. When relic icons are available and your gadgets are stable, then run dedicated ruins farms.
Are Relics better than weapon upgrades?
They solve different problems. Weapons and shards raise raw output; Relics reshape play patterns. You want both, funded by sensible dungeon choices.
Can co-op teammates share Relic drops?
Play the dungeon together, but treat loadout powers as personal. Align tank roles before launch so each player farms an identity that helps the squad.
